You still may be able to get your free Windows 10 upgrade

 Posted by David Bernstein

Most of us remember the way Microsoft pushed Windows 10 upon us as a free upgrade and how it got to the point for many people that they got upgraded whether they wanted to or not. Now that the Windows 10 free upgrade offer has expired on July 29th some of you may be wishing that you didn't put it off after all, especially if you are running Windows 8! If you still don't want to upgrade its ok because Windows 7 will be supported until 2020 and Windows 8 will be supported until 2023.

But if you do want to upgrade it turns out that Microsoft's activation servers are still running and you can still get a free upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or Windows 8. Its also still possible to upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Professional by using a product key from a previous business edition of Windows 7 or 8 which can save you some money.

To get your upgrade make sure you have an activated copy of Windows 7 or 8 and go to the Windows 10 download page below and download the Media Creation Tool. You can either run the tool or save it for later or to be used with a different PC. Once the upgrade is complete you will have a digital license for Windows 10 that is tied to that computer.
